Terms of service

Last updated: October 12, 2026

These terms apply to the use of PZcall, a phonathon and donor management service run by Technologies PZ inc., based in Quebec, Canada. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean PZcall, “Organization” means the charity or organization that uses PZcall, and “you” means the Organization and the people who use PZcall for it (admins and volunteers).

By using PZcall, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

1. Who may use PZcall

  • PZcall is offered to organizations that PZcall invites. There is no public sign-up.
  • Admins act on behalf of their Organization and must have its authority to do so.
  • Volunteers use PZcall through a campaign link the Organization gives them, and only for that Organization's campaign.

2. Accounts and security

  • Keep your password private and use one you do not use elsewhere. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Share campaign links only with the volunteers who should call. Anyone with the link can join the campaign as a volunteer.
  • Tell us right away (write to us) if you think an account or a link has been misused.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PZcall to:

  • send spam, or send messages to people who did not agree to hear from the Organization;
  • place automated or prerecorded calls (robocalls);
  • market to people who never gave to, or had a relationship with, the Organization;
  • call or write to people who asked not to be contacted: the “do not call” flag must be respected;
  • harass, mislead or pressure anyone, or pretend to be someone else;
  • break the law, including laws on privacy, telemarketing, anti-spam (such as Canada's CASL) and charitable fundraising;
  • try to access data that is not yours, test or bypass our security, or disrupt the service.

4. The Organization's data and responsibilities

  • The Organization keeps ownership of the data it imports or creates in PZcall (donors, gifts, notes, tags, call results).
  • The Organization is responsible for that data: having the right to hold it and to contact the people in it, keeping it accurate, and answering its donors' requests. PZcall processes it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy.
  • The Organization is responsible for its admins and volunteers: who it invites, what they say on the phone, and how they use donors' information.
  • Donations are paid on Charidy, a third-party platform, under its own terms. PZcall is not a party to the gift and does not handle the money.

5. Campaign packs and payment

  • PZcall is paid per campaign, through a campaign pack. The price is shown before the campaign is launched.
  • Packs are invoiced by PZcall today. Online payment may be offered later.
  • Unless we agree otherwise in writing, a pack covers one campaign and is not refundable once the campaign has been launched.

6. Availability of the service

We make reasonable efforts to keep PZcall available, secure and working well, especially during your campaigns. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”: we cannot promise that it will never be interrupted or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features over time.

Calls placed from the browser travel over the internet (voice over IP). Their quality depends on each caller's internet connection, network, computer, browser and headset, which PZcall does not control. PZcall offers a connection test and setup tips; a weak or unstable connection, a busy wifi network or a mobile data connection can cut, delay or degrade calls, and PZcall is not responsible for that. Callers can always place a call from their own phone instead.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • PZcall is not liable for indirect losses, such as lost donations, lost revenue or lost opportunities;
  • PZcall is not liable for services run by third parties, such as Charidy, telephone carriers or the Organization's email provider;
  • PZcall's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount the Organization paid PZcall in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law of Quebec does not allow to be limited.

8. Suspension

We may suspend an account, a campaign or a campaign link, without notice when needed, if it is used in breach of these terms, to protect donors or other users, or when the law requires it. When we can, we tell the Organization first and work with it to fix the problem.

9. End of the service and your data

  • The Organization may stop using PZcall at any time.
  • We may end the service for an Organization with 30 days' notice, or right away in case of a serious breach of these terms.
  • Before the end, the Organization can export its data where the app offers an export, or ask us for a copy. On request, we then delete the Organization's data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.

10. Intellectual property

PZcall, its software, design and brand belong to its owners. The Organization may use PZcall for its own campaigns while these terms apply; it may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change is significant, we tell the Organizations using PZcall at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use PZcall after that date means accepting the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec. If one part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
